trey bussey
nicaragua 2011-2013

Trey served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in northern Nicaragua from 2011 to 2013. As an English teacher and trainer, Trey worked alongside local teachers, organized community classes, and helped a school fund and build a multi-sport court. After returning, he helped fellow RPCVs start a company to sell Nicaraguan coffee in Austin, Texas. Originally from Houston and Phoenix, Trey moved to Nashville in 2019 to work as an attorney for the Southern Environmental Law Center.
