Kerry dooley, knoxville representative

mauritania 2000-2002

Originally from Minneapolis, MN, Kerry joined the Peace Corps shortly after getting her bachelor's degree in forestry (University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point). She served as a forestry extension agent in the agroforestry program. Her Peace Corps projects ranged from guiding an environmental club at the local school, to starting tree nurseries, to live fencing and dune stabilization efforts, along with a smattering of gardening water security work. After serving in the Peace Corps, Kerry continued working as a forester stateside in Minnesota, Colorado, Oklahoma, and Texas. She went back to school for her master's in forestry science (Yale University), and was able to return to west Africa (Mali) for her research project.

In January 2016 Kerry moved to Knoxville for a position as forest resource analyst for the US Forest Service, and became active in the Knoxville branch of the TNRPCV group.
